Join the Savanna Institute for a tour of a unique system of farming at a Demonstration Farm Tour at the 4-H Memorial Camp on Wednesdays, May 15, July 10 or Oct. 16 from 1 to 2 p.m. Meet at the overflow parking lot across from the Main Parking Lot.
Planted into an agroforestry alley cropping system in 2020, this acreage features a unique farming practice that incorporates timber production, prairie restoration and conventional grain systems to support water quality, carbon sequestration, soil health and wildlife habitat.
The tour should be of interest to farmers, TSP (Technical Service Provider) clients, landowners, conservation professionals as well members of the general public who want to learn about this eco-friendly farming practice.
A $5 donation is suggested and can be made upon arrival.
