Agroforestry Skills: Fall Native Plant Identification Workshop

November 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Knowing what you grow is an obvious first step in farming. However, can you identify common native trees and prairie plants without their leaves or flowers?

Come learn how to identify the native plants at the 4-H Memorial Demonstration Farm with special guest, Kayla Myers from The Wild Midwest! The Wild Midwest is a native plant nursery and landscape design company based in Urbana, IL. Using sight, smell and touch we will walk through the prairie and tree installations to identify several native prairie plants and common tree species. Please dress appropriately!

10:30 am: Walk to 4-H Memorial Camp Farm
