Jenn Ripp
Jenn recruits, guides and supports beginning agroforesters in Savanna Institute’s Apprenticeship Program. She also organizes our popular Perennial Farm Gathering event. Her role as our Education Coordinator is a convergence of her diverse background in farming, passion for agroforestry, and dedication to education in aiding agroforestry adoption. An orchardist at heart, Jenn found a home in Decorah, Iowa managing the vast diversity of apple tree varieties in the Seed Savers Exchange orchard. She brings a deep love of fruit and nut trees to the role.

Apprenticeship Program
Our Apprenticeship Program offers a one-of-a-kind experience providing beginning farmers with on-farm, technical education with a mentor farmer in the Midwest. Apprentices also take online coursework and have an opportunity for community-building throughout the year.
