Our Board

Rebecca was first introduced to Savanna Institute when she attended a Field Day in 2015 to learn about silvopasture and keylining and has been a supporter ever since.  With a background in Environmental Studies and land protection, she found her passion for agroforestry and food systems through permaculture.  Rebecca continually observes patterns in nature and believes resilient food production is one of the most important matters concerning society today. She currently lives in McHenry County, IL with her husband where she spends her time developing native food forests, experimenting with the family tree farm, and developing Starbell Hatchery, an art & ecology B&B retreat.
