Tyra Payer

Tyra Payer (they/them) is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Ojibwe tribe, where they grew up. They have a background of storytelling and nonprofit communications. Tyra is a writer and is passionate about Indigenous food systems. When they’re not working, you can find Tyra vending at their local farmers market. Tyra is excited to be at Savanna Institute to uplift stories from across the Upper Midwest.
