Hazelnut field day

Jason Fischbach, UW Extension, along with the Savanna Institute, The Central Wisconsin Hazelnut Network and UW-CIAS will be hosting a Hazelnut Field Day on Thursday August 12^th

Topics and demonstrations covered during this Field Day are: 

• Hazelnuts 101 in the classroom
• Learn how to layout your field for planting commercial grade hazelnuts and hazelnut plants for pollination
• Demonstration on how to plant your hazelnuts
• Tour of the germplasm trial on the station. Varieties include: the Grimo, Consortium, and other new hybrid hazelnut selections

Time: 4pm – 6pm

Registration: There is no registration fee for this Field Day, but we ask that you please, register for this event.

Refreshments:  Refreshments and light snacks will be provided by the Savanna Institute.
