Patrick leads the Savanna Institute’s efforts to develop investable business models to support Midwest agroforestry and enterprise budgets for agroforestry operations. Patrick’s prior experiences – startup founder, investment professional, Growth Projects Manager at Midwestern BioAg, and small business owner – have further developed quantitative skills rooted in degrees in Mathematics and Business Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. Patrick appreciates the systems-level perspective of agroforestry, the long-term thinking that planting trees demands, and the ecological and aesthetic benefits of disrupting the sea of corn. Patrick lives on a budding agroforestry farm outside Spring Green, Wisconsin, where he enjoys birdwatching, ecological restoration, and witnessing the unfolding drama of the seasons.
