Our Staff

Omar provides technical service to farmers and landowners interested in implementing agroforestry. Omar is a soil scientist and grazier with over ten years of experience managing prairies and oak savannas and holds degrees in agroecology and soil microbiology from Iowa State University. He brings along his experience working for the USDA Forest Service and Natural Resources Conservation Service including being lead on drafting and implementing farm bill policy. Omar is a published author and artist and currently manages a goat herd with virtual fencing in Central Iowa.
