About the Perennial Farm Gathering
The Perennial Farm Gathering, Savanna Institute’s signature event, brings together a wide community of land stewards, farmers, and perennial enthusiasts. Over three days, folks gather to share work, research, and lessons learned in panels, workshops, deep dives, and nutshell overviews – all to advance perennial agriculture. The event held each year for perennial food and farming enthusiasts will be back in-person for the first time in five years.

Coming to Iowa
Home to longtime mentors and a vibrant beginning farmer community, Iowa is the ideal place to host our next Perennial Farm Gathering in March 2026. We will gather at the Grand River Center, situated along the magnificent Mississippi River that connects all of us. The venue is adjacent to lodging and entertainment venues within walking distance of historic downtown Dubuque.

Agroforestry Coalition Annual Meeting & Networking Event
On Sunday, October 6th at the Monona Terrace, the Agroforestry Coalition will host its first annual meeting and networking event. The Agroforestry Coalition is a national collective of organizations, farmers, businesses, researchers, and activists working to scale-up agroforestry in the US. Working Groups meet virtually throughout the year to plan collaborations in the sectors of policy, nursery development, demonstration farms, communications, financing, and market growth.
