Nominations for 2023 Deep Roots Award and New Shoots Award Are Open

Keefe Keeley, Executive Director of Savanna Institute, recognizes a past award winner with a hand-carved boxelder bowl.
Savanna Institute is seeking nominations for the 2023 Deep Roots Award and 2023 New Shoots Award. These awards are our way to recognize the accomplishments of, and express our deep appreciation for, those who have worked to advance the science, practice, and adoption of agroforestry.
- The Deep Roots Award acknowledges leaders who have made their life’s work advancing perennial agriculture and supporting agroforestry.
- The New Shoots Award acknowledges emerging leaders who are making an impact and inspiring others with their passion for a diverse and perennial agriculture.
Nominees can be located in any state and awardees will be recognized at the 2023 Perennial Farm Gathering in December. Complete the nomination form by Friday, October 13 at 11:59 PM. If you have questions or would like to submit nominations via email instead, please contact Heather Driscoll at [email protected]. Thank you for helping us recognize these extraordinary folks!
