Forest Farm Training at Misty Dawn Farm

Join Ingrid West – Owner of Misty Dawn Farm and President of Shiitake Grower’s Association; Julie Hager, Savanna Institute Technical Service Provider; Allan Braun, NRCS State Forester; and Tony Johnson, Natural Resources Educator,  to learn about forest farming implementation processes. From grazing planning to the discussion of challenges and opportunities of forest farming, agricultural professionals can learn how to support farmers and landholders to reach their forest farming goals. Learn about orchard restoration, goat grazing considerations, invasive species control, and maple plantations. There will also be a hands-on opportunity for participants to inoculate logs.
