Cambridge Winery Tour and Vineyard Management Field Day

Vineyards contend with many competitors: birds and pests, disease and drought, people and the local ecosystem. This tour will be a gathering of the minds to brainstorm about new possibilities and to share experiences of success and failure.

There will be a presentation by a Savanna Institute Technical Service Provider give a general overview of agroforestry and an introduction of vineyard management by Cambridge Winery employees. We will then tour the vineyard for a collective discussion about alley cropping possibilities for soil carbon and water retention, followed by a discussion of vineyard pest management. Bring your questions and creativity! The day will end with an optional wine tasting and social hour.

This event is free, but the wine tasting is $17 (includes cheese, crackers, and selected wines).

10:30- 11:30 Vineyard walk: brainstorming alley cropping possibilities for soil carbon and water retention, followed by a discussion of vineyard pest management. Free

12 -1 wine tasting social hour. $17
