Adding Agroforestry….to you farm, garden, community, and life!

July 21, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Add agroforestry at any scale – to your farm, garden, community, and life!

Tour Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center and Goshen College’s 6.5acre agroforestry plot (a 7-year-old berry/fruit/nut planting) with John Mischler, try your hand at summer grafting and summer pruning, and then spend the afternoon with other farmers, gardeners, and aspiring farmers, planning out how you can add more perennials to your own land.

The design session will be led by Darren Bender-Beauregard of Brambleberry Farm, with help from Savanna Institute, Urban Soil Health, Hoosier Young Farmers Coalition, and Partners IN Food and Farming (PIFF).

Urban Soil Health will print out soil survey maps for everyone who registers by July 6 (and they are offering 1 free soil nutrient test to each participant!). See details on the facebook page.
